Welcome to Woodlands Bush Lodge
An inviting and peaceful retreat in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate.
Located in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and overlooking the open greenbelt, Woodlands Bush Lodge offers a comfortable space for families and friends to unwind and enjoy the bush at their own pace. This lovely 8-sleeper self-catering lodge is positioned for privacy, with uninterrupted views into the surrounding bush.
It’s a place where time slows down. You might see giraffes near the fence, warthogs foraging around the lodge, or bush babies visiting the trees at dusk. With open views, a private pool, and thoughtful touches throughout, it’s designed for long braais, midday swims, and no reason to hurry.
The lodge includes a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a comfortable dining room and lounge, and two braai facilities — everything you need for a relaxed, no-fuss stay. You can swing under the trees in a hammock, cool off in the pool, enjoy the view from the patio, or unwind in the lounge with a good book.
There are four bedrooms with air-conditioning — two with queen beds and two with three-quarter beds — and four bathrooms. The bedrooms are set across two separate wings, each with two rooms and two bathrooms, separate from the main living area. This layout makes the lodge ideal for two families or a group that values their privacy.
Your hosts, Daan and Carlo, live just nearby. They’ve put their hearts into this space — and are always happy to offer local tips, help with planning, or simply let you settle in and enjoy.
The lodge is a short drive from the centre of Hoedspruit — a friendly Lowveld town known for its wildlife, scenery, and easy-going charm. From town, you can head further afield to explore Kruger National Park or enjoy the views and sights along the scenic Panorama Route.
If you’d rather stay close, you can walk, cycle, or take a self-drive through the estate, or simply enjoy lunch at one of Hoedspruit’s welcoming restaurants.
